You can easily replicate the theme demo website on your WordPress setup. For importing demo content, following are the important prerequisites:
- WordPress 4.8 or above
- WordPress admin access
- The active theme must be - Udyama(1.0.1 or above)
We recommend the fresh WordPress installation for importing demo content. Don’t worry, you will not lose any data even if you import on your existing content.
Following are steps to import the demo content.
Before importing demo content, you need to have a few plugins installed. We have used ‘Elementor’ page builder. You can easily create/edit your pages using this plugin. Another important plugin that we need is ‘One click demo import’. This plugin helps you import the demo without uploading content files.
We have made it easy to install these plugins with our theme. These plugins will be recommended automatically in your WordPress admin dashboard when you activate ‘Udyama’ WordPress theme.
Click on ‘Begin installing plugin’ link displayed on the notice. You will be redirected to the next page. The list of plugins to be installed is displayed on this page. Select all plugins from the list and install them.
2. Importing actual demo pages
Once step 1 is complete, you are ready to import demo pages & content. We have made it easy to import everything. You just have to go to ‘Appearance > Import Udyama Demo’ page.
Click on the button ‘Import Demo Data’. Content from the demo website will be imported to your WordPress setup. This step might take a few minutes. Watch the above video for reference.
